Ravenol HST SAE 5W-40 is a fully synthetic motor oil perfectly suited for the MINI R53 Cooper S engine. It is the right choice for standard or lightly modified setups used in daily driving or spirited road use, where reliability and long-term cleanliness are key. Unlike many modern low-SAPS oils, HST contains a stronger ZDDP package (1000 ppm), which is essential for protecting the valvetrain under high spring loads.

Thanks to Ravenol’s CleanSynto® technology, the oil resists deposits and keeps internals clean even when driven hard. Its high HTHS viscosity (3.91 mPa·s) ensures a stable oil film at elevated temperatures that can make thinner oils break down, while a strong TBN reserve (12 mg KOH/g) neutralizes acids and slows down oil degradation, keeping the engine clean and protected during longer service intervals.
