Ravenol VST SAE 5W-40 is a fully synthetic motor oil perfect for MINI R53 engines that go beyond stock performance. If your car has upgrades like a smaller supercharger pulley, performance cams or injectors, or if you simply push it harder on weekends and trackdays, VST is the right step up. Where HST already offers strong protection for standard engines, VST is built to handle the extra heat, load, and stress that come with tuning.

Thanks to Ravenol’s USVO® and CleanSynto® technology with high-quality PAO base oils, VST remains stable under extreme load. Tungsten additives form an extra-strong lubricating film that reduces friction and protects when the engine is pushed hard. A ZDDP package (950 ppm) safeguards the valvetrain under high spring loads, while HTHS (3.8 mPa·s) maintains film strength at high temperatures where thinner oils can fail. With a solid TBN reserve (10.2 mg KOH/g), it neutralizes acids, slows oil degradation, and ensures consistent protection throughout service intervals.
