Ravenol Break-In Oil SAE 30 is a specially formulated mineral-based engine oil designed for the critical first hours of a freshly built engine. Whether it’s a standard rebuild or a pure race build, proper break-in is essential to ensure piston rings and camshafts bed in correctly.

Unlike modern synthetic oils, this break-in oil uses a high ZDDP package (2500 ppm) and no friction modifiers. This allows controlled embedding of valvetrain components and piston rings into the cylinder walls, while still properly lubricating vital parts such as the crankshaft and connecting rod bearings. The result is faster ring sealing for ultimate compression and oil control, creating a solid foundation for long-term engine life.
